The cable machine has numbers on the plates, and you can use those for improvement, but your 200lb bench press on the cable machine is NOT 200lbs with a barbell. Both can be used for training. Both can be used to measure improvement. But they are not interchangeable. Pick one, stick with it, and you WILL get faster.

The reason for this is simple: cycling involves large groups of muscles working together to produce stability and lots of power. Muscle isolating exercise (leg press, leg extension etc) build bulk and disconnect groups of muscles from each other robbing you of power.

So what i understand is I apply for my Provisional-CBT- Theory then I do my mod1 mod2. Then I can buy drive a 125cc if i pass. That is basically how it works in Europe. you have to have done the full test to ride a 125cc on an A1 license. Its always been different in the UK. CBT + L Plates = Go.
